No sound since upgrade to Fedora Core 2 Kernal 2.6.8-1.521

I'm running Fedora Core 2 Kernal 2. 6. 8-1. 521 on a Toshiba Satellite A65-12S Laptop. My problem began when I upgraded the kernel to the current version. I lost my sound, it was working in Kernel 2.

Installing extra hd - how to do it smart?

I use Suse 9. 0 installed on a hd in one partition (total of 1 gb or something like it). I started to run out of place specially on /usr. So I bought a new hd of 80 gb. That one I divided into 4 partitions with about 20 gb each.

hi, i have the same problem that marhabal : when try to install I see when it checks hda for seven ( or eight times ), hdb, hdc, hdd. . . . Every time it writes interrupt lost. It takes about five minutes for it to find my hdd and CD.

beginner struggling with installation

i have just installed Ferdora Core onto my harddrive and all seems to be working well. Just one small complication and that is my mouse is not recognised. It is a microsoft Intellimouse USB. Any possible solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Problems installing Linux on Sony Vaio Desktop

heatsink/fan compatibility

Alright, I'm thinking about buying that heatsink and using my Vantec Tornado as the fan. Will they be compatible? The other version comes with a 80 mm sq. x 25. 4 mm fan. Here's a link to it: I'm just concerned that my Vantec Tornado won't fit with the heatsink.

Hi all (first timer here) I've downloaded and compiled the shiny-new 2. 6. 0 stable kernel. It works like a charm, except for my modem. I have a PCTel HSP56 Micromodem that won't work in any way with this new kernel.
