Installing Linux 7.3 on Dell 650

Currently trying to load Linux 7. 3 on a DELL 650. Have tryed on IDE drives and SCSI drives. There is no problems with the installation in either scenario. When installation is complete and the machine starts to boot, they hang at the end.

I've been tryign to get my scanner working for 3 days straight now. I've been using for about 2 months now so I'm pretty good at following documention. As per the documention that I've found around the net, these seem to be the important files.

Hi, I recently installed Mandrake 10. 0 and everything went well, I only have a small problem with my graphics driver, I put my resolution on 1024x768 85Hertz but the image is not stable. (it is flickering) Does anybody know how to fix this? (Dell Dimension 2400 with a Intel 845 graphics adapter) thanks,.

how to config the sound card in the mandrake 10.0

I have a HP pavillion 3340 and i installed the linux mandrake 10. 0 in my computer. Its all fine with exception of the sound system that doesnt work. When the computer boot the mute section activate and i cant hear nothing, cds, programs, games, nothing! Thanks for your attention.

Hi Guys, I am a complete Linux Noobie and want to try this OP Sys. I think I might try a free one first, if possible. I have Winxp pro on my pC at the moment. I have 2 HDs. I was thinking of putting the Linux one on the smaller one , which is 40 Gig.

Fedora Core 2 Difficulties

I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with Pentium 4 shipped with XP. I have created a suitable partition for fedora using partition magic. Upon trying to install fedora it hung after a line about the USB 2. 0 driver.

Hello, I am kind of new to Linux and I have a DELL Inspiron 8600 Laptop. I am trying to get my broadcom 4401 NIC running under Redhat 9. 0 and when I try to MAKE the driver I get a Linux Kernel Source tree not found message and I cannot go and do insmod because it is not finding anything.

Well I resently Installed Mandrake 10 on my computer, completely replacing Windows XP. during the setup my C: drive was identified as a 37gb hard drive. when I started up my computer I noticed that at the file/ that the size of my drive was about 6gb.

Hello I'm using suse 8. 2. I have a sony dsc P12 camera and in the compatibility list there is written, that I should mount the camera as following: mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/p12 but if I do that this error appears: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device.

No sound on Mandrake 10
