Fedora Core 2 Difficulties
This is a discussion about Fedora Core 2 Difficulties in the Linux Hardware category; I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with Pentium 4 shipped with XP. I have created a suitable partition for fedora using partition magic. Upon trying to install fedora it hung after a line about the USB 2. 0 driver.
I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with Pentium 4 shipped with XP. I have created a suitable partition for fedora using partition magic.
Upon trying to install fedora it hung after a line about the USB 2.0 driver.
Using the pci=off command I was able to install fedora. Once installed the only way to get it to boot was to add the same command at boot else after selecting fedora from the grub menu the system would just reboot.
This situation is no good as with pci=off my network, USB devices, fire wire hard drives and USB devices do not function.
Can anyone propose a better solution?
