Windows XP & Suse boot problem

P4 3Ghz 1Ghz Ram 120 HDD - partitioned (2 x 60) suse on one and Xp on other suse is ok to run but i am having problems with windows i get to the log on screen and it keeps takiung mne into a circle i click on the icon it starts loading then it is ready for me to log on (again?) has this happend to any one? any sugg ...

OS Installation Error

I have upgraded my computer's bios with a new bios chip that has the latest ASUS bios on it. The computer POSTs ok and boots off cd-roms ok. However, when I attempt to install either Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro the installation hangs at Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration.

I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with Pentium 4 shipped with XP. I have created a suitable partition for fedora using partition magic. Upon trying to install fedora it hung after a line about the USB 2. 0 driver.

hi guys! I'v red hat 9 and now that I succeeded in sharing a 16Gb partition with my mp3s I cannot listen to them as linux says that, due to something I don't remember the support for mp3s has been removed by red hat.

Hello, I am kind of new to Linux and I have a DELL Inspiron 8600 Laptop. I am trying to get my broadcom 4401 NIC running under Redhat 9. 0 and when I try to MAKE the driver I get a Linux Kernel Source tree not found message and I cannot go and do insmod because it is not finding anything.

card services and RH Fedora core2

I have the orinoco gold(old version) wireless card and cannot get the card service to see it. when I installed fedora it loaded the orinoco_cs drivers but it is not being seen by the pcmcia device. I'm trying to migrate from WinBlows and Linux is not making the transition easy.

Hi all! I have bought 256MB Jetflash pendrive. It comes with wireless 802. 11b, so u can have a pendrive and wireless with USB. But only works fine in windows. Linux only knows that is a pendrive, but doesn't see the wireless.

Greetings All, I have recently upgraded to Fedora Core 2 from Fedora Core 1. In FC1 to get my sound card to work I would have to go to termminal window and type in at the prompt emu-config -d this told the driver (?) to use the digital port instead of the analog ones.

Cannot ping my Fedora Machine from Windows

I am new to fedora. I have a single Fedora machine in my windows network. I just want to use the internet service avaiable through my Wndows NT machine (Wingate Proxy Server running on it). I have tried giving just IP address of the wingate Proxy Server on my Fedora Machine in browser settings,but its not working.

Hi, I am new to Linux and trying to install Red Hat 9. I have Windows 2000 on NTFS and 5 GB free partition for Linux. I have put LILO in MBR. I am able to install ie. no error messages, however, it does not give me the option for Dual boot and goes directly to Windows.
