Just a repore back. apparently Linux will work with the nFORCE chipsets. I am currently running a Biostar M7NCD board wirh MEPIS and it detected my onboard NIC and audio right off. The boot messages confirm that they have the NVIDIA drivers installed.

hi, i'm new to linux, i am currently dual booting with windows xp and linux mandrake 9. 2 when the boot up screen comes up, i cant choose any options using a usb keyboard. so i hafto use a keyboard that plugs into the keyboard port.

i recently re installed linux for the 5th time same problem. . when i boot linux it goes into a prompt mode. . i tryed startx but i can an error. . saying something about my monitor. . is there a quick fix for this?.
