The Tor Browser and the Linux kernel have received updates in Tails 6.16. Automatic upgrades can be performed from Tails 6.0 or later; however, it is advisable to opt for manual upgrades. Tails 6.16 can be installed on a new USB stick utilizing the command line and GnuPG from Windows, macOS, Linux, Debian, or Ubuntu.

Automatic upgrades are available from Tails 6.0 or later to 6.16.
If you cannot do an automatic upgrade or if Tails fails to start after an automatic upgrade, please try to do a manual upgrade.
