A tzdata new timezone database has been released for Debian GNU/Linux 8 and 9 Extended LTS to includes the changes in tzdata 2022d.

Version 2021a-0+deb8u6 (jessie), 2021a-0+deb9u6 (stretch)

This update includes the changes in tzdata 2022d. Notable changes are:

Palestine now switches back to standard time on October 29.
Updated leap second list, which was set to expire by the end of December.
For Debian 8 jessie, these problems have been fixed in version 2021a-0+deb8u6.

For Debian 9 stretch, these problems have been fixed in version 2021a-0+deb9u6.

We recommend that you upgrade your tzdata packages.
