Darktable 4.8.0 is now available on Github. The latest update includes numerous key changes, such as a color equalizer module that controls hue/lightness/saturation based on color, two new image composition modules, and a toggle switch for darkroom mode.

Performance enhancements include quicker clustering code in map view for large collections, as well as the incorporation of collect module sorting into the module header. The "unrestricted" mode in Darktable's preferences resources has been deleted for safety reasons. Drawn masks can now accept and resize photos. Color label descriptions can be accessed by right-clicking on the icons. AI choices in the color calibration module were eliminated due to low quality. A new version of the FEX-EMU, which allows the execution of x86 and x86-64 binaries on an AArch64 host, has been released.
