Has any of you succeeded with parted? I need to move an ext2 partition in order to free some space in the beginning of disk, Parted keeps giving me an error message: Strange disk layout,. . . not supported (yet).

Firefox Installation Problem

Firefox sporadically dies.

Under Fedora Core 1, Core 2 and Suse 9. 2 Professional, Firefox will, sporadically just die when I'm either going to a new web page, or making a new post on a forum. It happens often enough to be considered a nuisance.

Need something like that to use im my Insprion 8000 laptop. I use i8kfangui on the XP side which works great but I dont think has a port to Linux or not an easy one I can find. .

ymessenger on fedora core 2 throws segmentation fault

i am using fedora core 2. Ymessenger gives and segmentation during launch. I uninstalled it. When downloaded rh9. ymessenger-1. 0. 4-1. i386. rpm and installed it gives package ymessenger-1. 0. 4-1 is already installed file /opt/ymessenger/bin/ymessenger.

wanting to rip my cds

hi am i able to turn my music cds into files (mp3 or what ever linux uses) i tryed using sound juicer the program that comes with redhat fedora core but when i put my megadeth cd it it say it cant mount and in sound juicer it just wont find anything on the cd.

hi I have just installed the winex rpm and i try to load a game clicking on the setup. exe and it looks up the installer but then comes up with an error and nothing more i click on details (of the error) this is the error:- rror Code: -5009 : 0x8000ffff Error Information: >Kernel\TextSubstitution.

Mandrake 10 and K3b cd burning SW

Hi all, I intalled Mandrake 10 on a AMD clone K3b from the Mandrake distribution CDs and it can burn CD fine. However, K3b cannot read any CDs from the burner, it keeps complaining about Illegal URI.

Does anybody know which application I could use to make an image of my current linux installation so I burn it into a dvd or cdrom. I like to make an image of my current linux just how you can do it with Norton ghost in windows because I'm planning on experimenting with SimplyMepis.
