Fedora Core DVD Download

I have downloaded the DVD iso's for Core 2 and Core 3 Test 2 however the files are only 371mb and 72. 1mb each. Should they not be 4. 4gb? Please advise. Thanks!.

Latest fedora core 2 kernal wont boot!

well i used that up2date thingy and i updated my kernal to the latest one today, it took so long to bring up the boot screen, then about after 20 min it said checking for new hardware, it sat thier for about 5 hours and did nothing.

I'm an extremely inexperienced linux user. I would like to get my smc 2532w-b wireless card working with fedora v3. 2 running on dell inspiron 5150. what does it take to make it work? SMC said they do not have linux drivers for the card.

Windows XP & Suse boot problem

P4 3Ghz 1Ghz Ram 120 HDD - partitioned (2 x 60) suse on one and Xp on other suse is ok to run but i am having problems with windows i get to the log on screen and it keeps takiung mne into a circle i click on the icon it starts loading then it is ready for me to log on (again?) has this happend to any one? any sugg ...

OS Installation Error

I have upgraded my computer's bios with a new bios chip that has the latest ASUS bios on it. The computer POSTs ok and boots off cd-roms ok. However, when I attempt to install either Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro the installation hangs at Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration.

How does one get a simple plug and play irDA device to communicate with a T610 sony erricson mobile? send and receive files, sync with evolution etc. Any ideas? Thank you Philip Prescott-Decie.

card services and RH Fedora core2

I have the orinoco gold(old version) wireless card and cannot get the card service to see it. when I installed fedora it loaded the orinoco_cs drivers but it is not being seen by the pcmcia device. I'm trying to migrate from WinBlows and Linux is not making the transition easy.

Audigy issues with Fedora Core 2

Greetings All, I have recently upgraded to Fedora Core 2 from Fedora Core 1. In FC1 to get my sound card to work I would have to go to termminal window and type in at the prompt emu-config -d this told the driver (?) to use the digital port instead of the analog ones.

install RedHat Linux 9 with Windows 2000

Hi, I am new to Linux and trying to install Red Hat 9. I have Windows 2000 on NTFS and 5 GB free partition for Linux. I have put LILO in MBR. I am able to install ie. no error messages, however, it does not give me the option for Dual boot and goes directly to Windows.

Hi All Im new to Linux, so please bear with me. I've just partition my Win2000 system to allow for Fedora Linux and successfully installed Fedora (what a great OS - very impressed!). How ever, I couldn't work out how to get the Grub Loaded to boot my Win2000 installation.

Hi all, I've just installed 9. 1 and it works fine except I cannot get my internet connection to work. I am in Australia and use dodo. com. au. Configuration test keeps telling me it doesn't recognise my isp.
