alright before you guys go all "This has been posted!" on me i have a different idea than everyone else. i have moved my grub to an external device and can and do boot off of it. i want to make it so when the device is not inserted nothing happens/computer gives user generated error then maybe it shuts off. basically i want absolutely no boot loader on my computer. fixmbr is not the right answer. yes i know its risky but i like absolute security, and what a better than a computer that doesn't boot unless im on it?

Why not just use a bios password and/or a password for Grub?
