OBS Studio 31.1.0 Beta 1 has been launched, presenting new features and addressing various bug fixes. The latest update includes support for Windows on Arm (WoA), introduces new user interface appearance options, enhances preview zoom controls, and offers multitrack video functionality on macOS and Linux. The update incorporates support for GPU conversion in terms of color format, space, and range, alongside enhancements in network performance, TCP pacing, stream delay, and a spatial AQ option for VideoToolbox encoders. It also features QVBR rate control for VA-API, explicit synchronization support for PipeWire Screen Capture, V4L2 virtual camera compatibility for non-Linux environments, and hardware-accelerated browser source support for Linux.
The update incorporates modifications to game capture hook signatures on Windows, enhances logging for recommended settings in streaming services, and refines the appearance of the Scene Collection importer, Sources list, dock toolbars, missing files dialog, and recursive directory searches. The preview/source context menu has undergone reorganization, and the Exit button from the Controls dock has been eliminated.
