Just two weeks since we made our RC 1 release, here is the WengoPhone 2.1rc2 from the Openwengo project. The release is available for download from:

http://download.wengo.com/releases/WengoPhone-2.1/RC2/

OpenWengo is a project aimed toward providing the best possible communication over IP program, both easy to use and conforming to industry standards.

A large number of issues were identified and fixed between the RC1 and RC2 releases, including several bugs which resulted in application crashes.

As always, feedback in greatly appreciated at http://www.openwengo.org

Cheers,
Dave.

Kiwi is a PyGTK framework for building graphical applications loosely based on MVC Model-View-Controller (MVC) and Allen Holub's Visual proxy [1]. Think of Kiwi as a high-level, object-oriented layer built on PyGTK. Its design is based on real-world experience using PyGTK to develop large desktop applications, which use many concepts common to most graphical applications: multiple windows and dialogs, forms, data persistence, lists and high-level classes that support domain objects directly.

10.000 lines of code changed, and suddenly Swfdec plays Youtube. Here's the release that makes it possible:

swfdec-0.4.3 "Your tube"
http://swfdec.freedesktop.org/download/swfdec/0.4/swfdec-0.4.3.tar.gz
MD5: 7a857dcc9228ac590327b04a90db2e64

This release focused on supporting video features and scripting features. It's been a lot of under-the-hood changes. While it's still nowhere near complete, some video sites - in particular Youtube - now show their videos. Of course, a lot of files still don't work.

swfdec-mozilla-0.4.3 "Now this puny world will bow down to me!"
http://swfdec.freedesktop.org/download/swfdec-mozilla/0.4/swfdec-mozilla-0.4.3.tar.gz
MD5: b2a412a9cd603e6769a402bd0b68451b

The plugin has seen some important bugfixes. The properties dialog has also become a lot nicer and you can even watch large files downloading.

Swfdec still is development software, but has also followed a rigid no-crashes-allowed policy. I believe it's stable enough now to be installed as a default plugin for people that can live with occasional crashes of their browser. But don't blame me if it does crash. File a bug at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=swfdec

For additional info, see the homepage at
http://swfdec.freedesktop.org

Happy video watching,
Benjamin

Celebrating shiny new GNOME 2.18, I am happy to release another libxklavier stable tarball of the desktop-agnostic keyboard utility library.

Changes from 3.1 are bugfixes only, big and small.

The tarball is available from SourceForge.net:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gswitchit/libxklavier-3.2.tar.gz?download

The CVS repository is on cvs.freedesktop.org (the one on sf.net is totally obsolete!), module xklavier, tag v_3_2

With Glom you can design table definitions and the relationships between them, plus arrange the fields on the screen. You can edit and search the data in those tables, and specify field values in terms of other fields. It's as easy as it should be.

Glom 1.4 adds some new features and minor UI changes and includes bugfixes from the Glom 1.2.x branch.
