How to make wireless lan on VPR 180B5 work with RedHat 8?

It seems RedHat has it well built in, but not able to activate it. In kernel 2. 4. 18, I can see the pcmcia includes entry Ricoh Rl5c475, is there some tricky link missing here? thx.

usb seems to load correctly at boot. lsmod shows modules loaded usb-ohci & usbcore problem is when mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera mount: special device /dev/sda1 does not exist.

The system has: RedHat 8. 0 1. 7 GHz Athlon Duron SiS 7018 PCI Audio (inlaid in the motherboard) I already tried by simply enabling the full duplex in Control Center of KDE, however, I noticed that the CPU activity skyrocketed until eventually I received a pop-up window advising: CPU overloaded.

Hello, I had a Maxtor Fireball 3 hard disk running well for approximately 3 moths installed with SuSE 8. 1 and, in the past week, I could notice the system was hanging every 20-30 seconds and dmesg displayed a time out error and IDE0 was being successfully reset several times.

I managed to get Mandrake 9. 0 installed again and got the same PCI resource collision error and as a result couldn't see my IDE devices on the ICH4 controller. I could use the promise controller for the install and that is what I did.

hello. i am a super nub to linux. so go easy on me. . . i installed redhat 8 and have many issues with it. but the one issue bugging me the most is the soundcard issue. if i run the soundcard dtector - it detects my soundcard and is presumably supposed to play a sound for me - but nothing.
