problem with printing
This is a discussion about problem with printing in the Linux Hardware category; i have lexmark z33 and hp deskjet 690c installed on my system (mdk 9). i am using cups. sometimes none of the printers answers (in /var/log/cups/error_log there is a note that the job is in queue - in fact i cannot find any job.
i have lexmark z33 and hp deskjet 690c installed on my system (mdk 9). i am using cups. sometimes none of the printers answers (in /var/log/cups/error_log there is a note that the job is in queue - in fact i cannot find any job..) or more often one of them is working, the other one not at all (have to find out which one it would be that time). my girlfriend is really upset about it, because she switched to linux (guess what she was using before..) recently and she had never had these troubles. sometimes rebooting helps (not just restarting cups service), but not always. thank you for your replies.
