Another Proble,m with Mandrake 10

I have a problem with Linux MANDRAKE 10. . . when i boot from cd. . . when he search and test hardware he send me a mesage that is something wrong with hda1 (no working with 20 GB MMAXTOR or 10 GB IBM ) But run normaly wit old disk WD 1.

I have LG Studioworks 700E mointor. I had recently bought the new PC and installed RH 9. 0, but when i am booting into the system, instead of showing a GUI login, it is showing lot of vertical lines on the screen.

hello, i have just installed mandrake 10. 0 and i want to connect to the interent but i cant. one thing is that i cant get the drivers but i heard there is another way to it. i got a Bt voyager 105 (adsl modem) which is a usb.

cdrecord error message using HP usb cdwriter 8200 with RH7.2

Hi ! As already stated in my former thread, my cdwriter is now being reckognised and I can mount it for reading on scd0. However, I can't write anything. cdrecord -scanbus says : # cdrecord -scanbus Cdrecord 1.

Questions: 1) I configured a compaq R3000T with the same specs as an hp zx5100 laptop, but the hp is $50 more expensive - why - are hp's the higher quality brand? 2) The compaq above uses JBL pro internal speakers but the hp uses interal Harman Kardon speakers - which is better quality? i need a basis to decide bet ...

Hi guys, I recently bought Compaq Presario R3000T notebook and installed Mandrake 10 Official (download version). It automatically detected the the hardwares, except (1) touchpad (2) sound card, and (3) built-in card reader.

scsi scanner not detecting

okay, i'm using an AHA 2940AU scsi adapter and that is apparently supported. unfortunately it wont pick up the scanner i am trying to get to work. its a HP 6100c. what is going on? i'm pulling my hair out.

Hi, i need help. i've just started with linux and i'm having a few woes. I'm using slackware linux 9. 1 and its my secondary OS in a dual boot with XP Pro. (i know, windows is evil, but its necessary) anyway, i got three worries 1) how am i supposed to make a boot disk when it says its over 1.

Hi there ! This cd burner is listed as linux compatible. As for details, it just says: Just plug it in and it works without further configuration under RedHat 7. 1, usually as SCSI device 0,0,0 I am trying to operate this roaster on my IBM Thinkpad 600 with RedHat 7.

AOC LCD "Input Not Supported" - Newbie

Hi I recently bought an AOC LM720A LCD. I run Win98SE, Win2K and Suse 8 on my machine (apologies for all the WinX stuff). All works fine - except when I boot Linux. Then I get a message box Input Not Supported which slowly moves around the screen.

help me! problems with my graphic card

I'm using rh9 now and i recently changed my graphics card to an NVIDIA geforce FX 5500 256MB RAM. But i discovered to my horror that rh9 couldn't detect my card and that it could only support maximum 128 MB video RAM.

Mandrake 10 and HP All-in ones

I installed Mandrake 10 on the HP551. It seems to have found all the hardware. It even knows how to scan and print with OfficeJet r60 all-in-one. Well,sort of. . . The GIMP can scan images ok but,for some reason ,it can't find the r60 printer.
