help me! problems with my graphic card

This is a discussion about help me! problems with my graphic card in the Linux Hardware category; I'm using rh9 now and i recently changed my graphics card to an NVIDIA geforce FX 5500 256MB RAM. But i discovered to my horror that rh9 couldn't detect my card and that it could only support maximum 128 MB video RAM.

Fedora Core users, can pls tell me if fc and support 256 MB video ram?

I'm using Fedora Core one and 128 so I couldn't tell you. You may be ahead of Linux on this one. Someone will create modules or "drivers" for 256 soon enough though. In the meantine, continue to use the "nv" modules, or you can always get a 128 or less fairly cheaply at Kmart.
