Hi, Im new to linux, very new and im not able to install the drivers so i can enable 3d for my graphics card. When i go to the nvidia ftp site and try to download the drivers that doesnt work, and the one i did find else where has a checksum error.

I recently bought a new Sony Vaio PCV-RS310: 2. 4B GHz Intel Pent. 4 80 GB, ATA-100 256 MB PC2100 DDR-SDRAM Intel® 845GV integrated graphics Current OS: WinXP home ed. I've been doing research and I've found nothing out there to try to find out which Lunix would be compatible with this desktop.

Install help with Nvidea TNT2 32 mb Grapics card Not working

;( ok i just got done dowsloading Lindows 4. 5122 and i burned the ISO to a CD using Roxio easy ed creater but when i tell the pc to boot from the disk it come up Lindow install and i click that and it loads whatever and then the screen goes blank then after 50 secs the cd pops outta the Drive ;( Can anyone help me.

weird computer problem

hi all guys i am facing a weird and annoying problem in my computer. the problem is that while running, it reboots itself automatically. like i am on net browsing around or even if i am not on net, i am just USING it, playing some game or doing some work, suddenly it reboots itself automatically.

digital camera CX4230 under SUSE 8.2

I'm using Kodak Easy Share digital camera CX4230 under SUSE 8. 2 The camera is recognized ok as a USB device, I get a camera icon on the desktop. Once I try to access the files on the camera I get a message no files found, even though there are picture icons in the cameras dir? cheers.

Canon S200 printer driver

I've got my S200 printer to work perfectly in Mdk 9. 2 by using Gimp-print-4. 2. 6-pre2. But first I had to uninstall the Gimp-print packages that came with Mdk. I used kprinter to set it up. In my opinion it works every bit as good as the Windoze driver.

TV Tuner card question

Im looking into buying a Tv tuner card for a machine im building to run Mythtv. Im thinking about either the ATI TV Wonder or the Asus TV-FM card. Has anyone had any experience with either card, or could recomend a similar or better 'cheap' tuner card?.

MEPIS and nFORCE2 400

Just a repore back. apparently Linux will work with the nFORCE chipsets. I am currently running a Biostar M7NCD board wirh MEPIS and it detected my onboard NIC and audio right off. The boot messages confirm that they have the NVIDIA drivers installed.
