Griffin iMic

does anyone out there know how to get the griffin imic to work with linux? preferably woody stable? the Griffin iMic is a usb audio device with mic input and headphone output. javascript:emoticon(' 🙂') it works realy well for recording audio and playing music on some other hardware platforms.

CDRW max speed not reached

cdwriter does not reach max speed any more x40 only writes at x16 its a 2 min difference. To make it write at x40 dma has to be activated because if not it writes at x16. It is activated but does'nt work anymore.

Well, I finally took the linux plunge. Everything went pretty smooth. It did take me about 20 minutes to get figure out which line to add to the Xfree86 config to get my scroll wheel working, but I digress.

How to make ATI drivers work in RH9/Fedora

Spent more than a few nights trying to figure out how to make it happen. I've yet to see if the AIW tv functonality works and I havn't tested dual monitors. This is a basic guide and may be not even the right way but since I hadn't found any place else describe how to do it I figured I'd post.

Firstly, your recommendations are really appreciated! I am building a second box strictly for Linux because I am way too scared to multiboot. And my first box (supposed to multiboot with several Linux and Win XP was an Nforce2, Asus A7N8X deluxe).

I have started my system on Linux using Red Hat 9. Everything installed ok, I believe. My audigy soundcard won't work properly. I have been reading about this online. I am attempting the emu10k1 solution, but am getting stuck trying to get a successful make out of it.

I think I have an integrated ati mach 64 on my old ibm aptiva 166 mhz. Can I remove that and put it in my new computer? If not, then what video card do you recommend that's the cheapest and mostly 2-dimensional office stuff in x windows?.

Greetings, SuSE9. 0Pro I've noticed that while rcacpid status : running , Within /etc/X11/XF86Config , within section Mod , there's no Load dri , so every time i try to enable 3D , i can get 3D to work succesfuly , but then something's wrong , as a *conflict* and the LID e/o BUTTON aint working no more.

Another problem with scsi!

Sorry of i'm still here, but now I've succeeded in emulating ide-scsi for all the cd drives, but now /mnt/cdrom2 (dvd-rom) doesn't work anymore! But all the config software says that the device is mounted on /mnt/cdrom2.

I'm using Mandrake 9. 1 and I want to write CDs with k3b, reading from my dvd-rom. To do that I have to set ide-scsi emulation for all my cd-rom devices but I don't now how to do that! It's not long I'm using Linux.
