Hi.
I´ve just bought an Acer TravelMate 290 with inter mobile centrino.
I´ve installed Red Hat Linux without any problem. When I restart the computer I see this message:

Your computer does not have a local APIC, e.g. mobile P6. Falling back to RTC
mode

Can anybody help me? I am a newbie to Linux. Thanks!

Try disabling the apic at the boot prompt before linux loads by typing NOAPIC or APIC=OFF, if either of these works then edit your boot loader to automatically insert these every time.
