I had tried everything, and I cant set-up my Presario 3000 (3017CL) with Mandrake 9. 1, I still got problems with the modem, and networking hardware. I think that I had to wait a little longer for newer Mandrake copies to try again.

SATA Sil3112. How to properly install OS with this driver?

I've looked through the rest of the SATA related posts but none of them seem to address the issue of running RAID0 with linux. In windows at the very start of the setup you can put down the SIL3112 driver and windows install will see the pair of drives as one large hard drive.

USB flash Drive under SuSE 8.2

I have a USB flash drive, which is recognised by the hotplug when inserted, and an sda1 icon appears on the desktop. However when I try to mount it I get an error:- could not determine the filesystem type and none was specified.

Hi, I have problems with an usb sound device Imic from Griffin. . . I used mdk9. 0 with alsa driver. . . The alsamixer recognise it for controlling sound levels, but theres no means to play and record with this device.

Since no one is answering on their super support forums, maybe someone can tell me what drivers to use for Lindows? Does a company have to make Lindows drivers? I have a Intel network card that it does not recognize, so I need drivers, the only options @ Intels support site are RedHat, Sus and Windows drivers.

Radeon 8500LE 128meg will not enable fast write.

I have a Radeon 8500LE 128 meg video card, and I can not get the fast write function to work. I have it set in the bios to enable the fast write option, but everytime I go on my desktop and go into properties to enable fast write for my video card it asks me to reboot but when I go back it is still not enabled.

I've been having problems with arm stiffness recently, and I need a recommendation for a good Linux-compatible mouse that I can operate with either hand. I prefer a trackball or touchpad to a conventional mouse because of restricted desk space.
