Untitled thread

This is a discussion about Untitled thread in the Linux Software category; I am using the Ymesanger on fedora core! It gave me an Segmentation fault after which i am not able to use Ymessanger. I have also gaim iinstalled. I want both. I have removed all the dependencies. When i tried to install thru rh9.

I am using the Ymesanger on fedora core! It gave me an Segmentation fault after which i am not able to use Ymessanger. I have also gaim iinstalled. I want both. I have removed all the dependencies.
When i tried to install thru rh9.ymessenger-1.0.4-1.i386.rpm it throws an msg
file /opt/ymessenger/bin/ymessenger.bin from install of ymessenger-1.0.4-1 conflicts with file from package ymessenger-1.0.4-1
file /opt/ymessenger/lib/libgtkhtml.so.6 from install of ymessenger-1.0.4-1 conflicts with file from package ymessenger-1.0.4-1
When i checkout tat directory thrs no files as such.
I am able to use gaim. Its working fine
I want to use both at a time. mean Yahoo and Gaim. Is tat not possible to install yahoo messenger back again

hello again .. I see you still are reporting the same problem with ymessenger.
 
Perhaps you would care to read all of the responses you have already received
in your previous two threads regarding this problem?

In fact, if you care to add a response regarding your problem, it probably
would be best to add it to Thread#31288 above..
 
Important question for you:
Have you tried uninstalling the 'phantom' ymessenger-1.0.4-1 package
with "rpm -e ymessenger-1.0.4-1"?
 
 
Also, is there a reason you don't provide a subject title when you create
a new thread? You seem to like using the default - "Untitled thread".
