server restarting for unknown reason

This is a discussion about server restarting for unknown reason in the Everything Linux category; has anyone experienced server restarts after 6-10 hours of in-activity. We are running Red Hat Advanced server 2. 1 (kernel 2. 4. 9-e25) on intel pentium 4 (x86) box with 2gb ram. Is there any property in the o/s or bios that does this, or something wrong with the o/s.
