Resolution problems - after installing mandrake10 in vmware 5

This is a discussion about Resolution problems - after installing mandrake10 in vmware 5 in the Everything Linux category; I am installing Mandrake in vmware 5 on a IBM t41 laptop - 2G memory. After installing all seems to go ok - after install completes, the session boots the splash screen and seems to load properly but after the splash screen the monitor is fuzzy (typical of resolution issues) and looks to be split into two screens.

I am installing Mandrake in vmware 5 on a IBM t41 laptop - 2G memory. After installing all seems to go ok - after install completes, the session boots the splash screen and seems to load properly but after the splash screen the monitor is fuzzy (typical of resolution issues) and looks to be split into two screens. I am not sure if this is due to vmware or is infact a wrong resolution setting - how can I change the resolution? I did a find for XF86Config-4 but I can't find the file - not sure why. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe?
Make sure 'Vmware tools' is install and see what happen, just consult the workstation help function on how to.
