installing redhat 9.0 from a .rar file on a cd
This is a discussion about installing redhat 9.0 from a .rar file on a cd in the Everything Linux category; Hi. I have downloaded redhat9. 0 from a mirror site and it is in. rar format. I want to install it on my laptop. 1. the extension of the file is iso but it is a winrar file. I put my laptop to boot from the cd but it starts windows again.
Hi. I have downloaded redhat9.0 from a mirror site and it is in .rar format. I want to install it on my laptop.
1.the extension of the file is iso but it is a winrar file. I put my laptop to boot from the cd but it starts windows again. Do i have to extract the rar file? and if i do so which parts of the file should i burn to the cd(it is about 1.5Gb)

if your using windows go to google and search for WinRAR that should put it in .iso file extension form
