I've teh following configuration:
 
Processor: Pentium IV -D 2.8 GHz
RAM: 2 GB
Graphic Card: Nvidia 7300 GT, 256 G.RAM
HDD:
1. SATA, 200GB 3rd Master on Board; 1st Master of SATA
2. 200 GB USB HDD; System bootable from USB HDD
 
CD ROM: DVD ROM, 1st Master on Board (IDE)
 
I tried to install Red Hat Enterprise LINUX, LINUX 8 and LINUX 9. I got the following errors:
 
Red Hat Enterprise Ed: setup crashes while verifying the media. Kernal Panic.
LINUX 9: setup cannot find DVD ROM drive
LINUX 8: setup cannot find any of the harddisks
 
also all the setps start in text mode and the mouse is always unavailable. what steps do i have to take to install linux on my system

By Lnux 8 and 9, do you mean RedHat Linux 8 or 9?

Which version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

In any case, it sounds like you are trying to install versions which are very old and do not support your hardware.

What is the make and model of your motherboard or system?
