blank screen with mandrake 10.0
This is a discussion about blank screen with mandrake 10.0 in the Everything Linux category; I need some help. I just installed 10. 0 on a Acer 4560 notebook. Booted off dvd, installed off the hard drive. The install was good, not many bumps in the road. After all was done, and the system reboots, I get a boot screen where I can pick Linux or Xp.

The install was good, not many bumps in the road. After all was done, and the system reboots, I get a boot screen where I can pick Linux or Xp. Xp loads fine, but the Linux hangs on a blank screen.
No code no nothing. I'm not sure whats going on with it. Any help would make my day.

Could you look at the users manual and tell us what video card that it has? Possibly an ATI card?

Here is the whole specs. It's a Acer TravelMate 4653LMI. I'm running XP Pro SP2 on a 50 gig partition, and Mandrake 10.1 on a 20 partition. Everything is FAT32. Xp is working just fine, and I get a bootloader screen where I can pick Linux or Xp.
This is my first time installing Linux in many moons. However, the install was not hard. I did install Linux to the MBR.
