The Matrox G-series of graphics cards are supported in the kernel framebuffer layer, as well as in XFree86. The G400 is supported in XFree86 versions 3.3.6 and upwards. Both the single- and dual-head versions of the cards are supported.

Matrox Millennium G450
The Matrox G-series of graphics cards are supported in the kernel framebuffer layer, as well as in XFree86. The G450 is supported in XFree86 versions 4.1.0 and upwards.
(NOTE: I *THINK* it was 4.1.0, but it COULD be 4.2.0. The XFree86 site claims the latter, but that is in a comparison between 3.3.6 and 4.2.0)
