Hi again everyone, Well ive solved some of my early problems THANKS TO ALL OF YOU. Now however got another couple. #1. How do you change screen resolution? Ive tried all the normal things i think. Been reading about and /etc/file.

Shockwave, Java, Flash, for linux?

Yes, I ask a lot of questions but I am learning a lot as I go It appears that there isnt shockwave for linux, when I went to shockwave site. Flash, ok I have flash installed, and I can play neopets games, but try a site like doom3.

Xandros Desktop 3.0 Deluxe: Perfect Distro for Xp user IMHO

I am brand new to Linux and I have been looking around at the various distros. A friend of mine had a new copy of Xandros Desktop 3. 0 Deluxe so I decided to try that on my laptop. Install was a breeze and it even auto resized my NTFS XP partition so I could dual boot Xp and Xandros.

I'm having some trouble with latest 2. 4 kernels and computone intelliport II Ex multiport serial card and I was thinking about 2. 6 kernels but I found no reference about this card. Any clues? Marcelo.

Hello, does anyone know if there is a soundcard that works normally at linux, because my onboard AC'97 jacksense doesn't. I know its linux's problem because it won't work with jacksense soundcard really good.

compiling c code

NEWBIE! How to create a destination folder??

I feel this is embarassing but im really tired of Windows BS! I installed Mandrake 10. 0 No problems. Now i want to upgrade mozilla to firefox 1. 0 Downloaded and couldnt install it. Saw a post earlier about creating destination folder and entering this command.

Modem Driver Download/Installation - 82801CA/CAM AC '97

Hi, I have recently installed Fedora Core 3 onto my Dell c540/c640 Latitude laptop. It has an Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM AC’97 Modem Controller (rev 2) (according to /sbin/lspci anyway!) The Fedora installation did not appear to pick up the drivers for my modem.

Linux Mandrake 10.1 is...

Hello, I am having trouble installing Linux Mandrake 10. 1. The autorun file gives an error saying that the autorun file is not a valid win 32 App. Is there a way i can fix this. I bought the CD from Ebay instead of downloading it.
