Hello Everyone, I installed Mandrake 10. 1 successfully. In the process I found that my D-link DWL-520+ wireless internet connection isn't working. I've read about the solution, but for the life of me, can't figure out how to get it working.

Remote X session problem

I'm trying to connect to my linux box at home using the XLive cd from work. I can ssh in no problem, but I get various errors when attempting to run a gui app. I'm running Xandros 2. 0 at home and I have set xhost appropriately.

Downloading from digital camera

My wife's father gave us a Canon PowerShot A85 digital camera for Christmas. On the back of the box it stated you could use it with Windows and Mac. I've never fooled with digital cameras in my life, let alone knew how to download the image files to a computer.

Installing Mandrake 10.0

I've installed Mandrake 10. 0 on my computer and it's asking for the disk labeled Updates for Mandrakelinux 10. 0. Where do I get it? Also this is my first time using any Linux stuff-got tires of trying to install MS stuff and friends told me to try Linux for the server program.

Question I am using linux live CDs. I use Knoppix 3. 7 and Kanotix x-2004. In my disply settings i only have one choose of pixels. 600x480 is all i have for the screen resolution. How can i fix this? Thanks, Stephen.

A major hurdle to going full out Linux was playing an assortment of video files. I am running Suse 9. 1 Personal which is ok for pretty much everything else besides multimedia (kinda weak in that department).

I got installed Fedora on my laptop today. I am totally new to LINUX. I have no idea what it really is. Actually, It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to shutdown(to find that in the menu list),when I logged in for the first time.

I am using mandrake linux 10. 1. I had set up an internet connection using usbnet(usb Host-to-host link drivers(numerous vendors) as the new connection. the problem is everytime I restart the computer I have to set up the connection from scratch all over again.

ARGH! I have installed Fedora Core 2. 6 on a dual partition on a single HDD with XP. Since the computers windows based it has a winmodem. Now I know most people will tell me that Im stupid and should show the piece of junk out.
