This is a discussion about Linux Live in the Everything Linux category; Question I am using linux live CDs. I use Knoppix 3. 7 and Kanotix x-2004. In my disply settings i only have one choose of pixels. 600x480 is all i have for the screen resolution. How can i fix this? Thanks, Stephen.

What is the make and model of your video card and monitor?

Don't know.
It is a new Dell computer. The monitor is a 19" flat screen CTR.

Is your video "on board?" Seems I had this same problem with my Dell. When I installed a Nvidia the problem was resolved. We also discussed this a few months back, and martouf had the fix for it. I sure wish I could remember which thread that was... I'll try to hunt for it.
