Hey I'm trying IRSSI as IRC client. All seems to be fine except for one thing: all new messages comes on the bottom line, without the rest scrollingup (meaning i only see the last message, and the rest of the page is filled up with the very first stuff, ie users list etc).

Sound problems with Hercules Muse XL

Hello there. I'm having a little problem with my sound. I'm running Mandrake 10. 0 and I have ALSA 1. 0. 7 installed. My sound card is Hercules Muse XL. The problem I have is that the sound seems a bit, well, wrong! It's like the bass is cranked to the max or as if I had extremely dusty speakers.

hi, im new and i live in NZ. ok i have mandrake linux comunity 10. 0 and everything was fine till i found out that i couldn't connect to the net because the module for the modem was not found in mandrake's control center.

I downloaded the sound driver for my onboard card and the instruction tell me to do a bunch of stuff in the usr-src-linux-sound directory, but there is not such directory after SRC, to place the files.

Mandrake 10.1 & KVM

I have a new install of Mandrake 10. 1 and am quite new to Linux in general. I am behind a KVM that I have had for about 2 years which worked fine for a RedHat installation I used to have. The KVM has no brand name on it, but appears to be an older version of this KVM ( ).

Can't connect to the internet with Red Hat 9

Hi, I just installed Red Hat 9 on my computer, and I cannot connect to the internet at all, the only way I'm on right now is i luckily have a SuSE Eval cd. Anyways. . . I go to setup internet connections and it doesn't have my network card/chip which is on my motherboard.

problem with NVIDIA drivers on FC2

I downloaded the NVIDIA v. 6629 drivers and installed it but before the installation proceeded, a msg appeared ( module license nvidia taints kernel). But after the msg, the installation proceeded smoothly so i didnt think too much abt it but then, after using FC2 a few times, everything fouled up.

Big Desktop under FedoraC3 with ATI 9800pro

Hi all, unfortunately FedoraC3 supports only Dual Head for ATI 9800pro. Did anybody gets a ATI- Card run in Big Desktop- mode without deinstalling Xorg and installing XFree86? TIA Kind regards.

Starting With Mandrake 10.1

I seem to have created a little problem for myself and need some help. Everything has been working wonderfully with Mandrake Linux PowerPack 10. 1 until now. I just installed StarOffice7 and have it working great.
