MD 10.1 Installation problem

I finally got MD 10. 1 to load on my computer and when I got to the end it said to take out my CD and reboot. I took out the CD and the Boot disk and rebooted my machine. A black screen came up with.

Zaptel and Asterisk ???

Hi !! Has anyone out there got ZAptel and Asterisk running under FC2 ?? I can get the Asterisk to compile and run but Zaptel gives mee heaps of compile errors. Most of the items I have been able to find refer to kernel modules required for Debian - not FC2.

Problems installing Fedora 3 on my laptop

I wanted to try installing Fedora 3 on my laptop, so I downloaded the DVD. I have a compaq armada m300 with 196 mb ram and p3 600 cpu. Not a hell of a powerfull pc, but i wanted to try even so. It boots fine from the dvd, and i get the usual hit enter to start the graphical installer, or write linux text to install ...

Post a picture of your desktops. . i'm thinking about customizing/switching from kde. . . so if you have mods or not an obvious desktop. . . thanks. . . or if youknow some cool customizations for kde just leave those.

Best distro to install and use MPlayer 1.0

MPlayer seems to have the best codec support out there. I am currently trying to get it to work with SuSE 9. 1 personal (which I am posting this with). If there is a 3rd party friendly distro with a relatively easy application install routine, PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, WHAT IS IT?!.

RAM upgrade

My PC only has 256Mb of RAM (yes, i know. . . . . . :x ) I am looking to get my RAM up to 512Mb-1Gb, but I want to keep my 256 aswell (is that possible) I don't know much about this type of thing when it comes to PC's, so can you guys offer any advice as to what I should look for?.

Need Help With Java Install

I just received my 6 disk set of Mandrake Linux PowerPack 10. 1 and did a clean install. Everything installed perfectly and all hardware was recognized. I couldn't be happier! And, I've finally picked up enough on Linux that configuring programs worked pretty well.

Sorry about the spam of questions i've asked lately, i'm tuning my system now=) Ok i have cups installed and all. . . i have a psc 2110xi printer from hp. . . i've had it print before in linux(it just printed god awefully slow).

FC 2 Logging out problems..!!!

Hey guys. . i a nOOb to linux. . . u gotta gr8 forum out here dudez. . . i have a problem logging out of Fedora core 2. . . when i click on log out. . . . the system just doesnt log out. . . i mean the screen remains unchanged.
