HELP! Just can't install Mandrake 10

My first post! I have the Mandrake 10 Official disks for some days now and I just can't install it! Before burning the iso's I made a md5sum on them and they were ok. I burned the iso's as I burn other iso's (with Nero).

diskless boot

hi how do configure linux so that i would have a server and client in which the client is diskless and would just boot and get I. P. add from the server, so that all services will come from the server.

HELP!!

I just got FC2 yesterday and when i installed it, i realised that i couldnt access the win xp partitions that is housed on the same hard disk as my FC2 installation. I also discovered that i couldnt get sound in my FC2.

Will someone familiar with Dell P4 HT please help vipzzz in Problem Installing Mandrake 10. 0. I believe he needs to set BIOS to boot from CD and I am not familiar with that machine. Thanks.

hey everyone i recently upgraded from 9. 2 to 10. 0 on mandrake. well since i upgraded i had a little bit of a probelm with my samba shares on my linux box. ok i have a members only area on my website which is password protected.

Fedora Core 2 and Xp problems?

I just downloaded FC2 and intend to install it ASAP however i read on the net that it has some problems with xp and win2000 partitions. I'm using a dual-boot setup with Xp. Anybody encountered this prob b4 and noe how to solve it?.

Hard-Drive installation of Mandrake 9.2

i attempted a Harddrive installation. I didnt know what i was doing, and ended up unarchiving the iso's I have my harddrive partitioined, One WinXP, and one ext2, one swap i booted using the hd. img and everything was going along smoothly then the installation began not finding packages I later found the poackages ...

Edit grub.conf to boot added distro.

Here's my hd. . hda1 - /boot hda2 - / (Fedora Core 1) hda2 - /home hda5 - swap hda6 - / (Fedora Core 2) I just added Core 2 to my hd, and did not install grub since I didn't want to destroy my existing configuration.

Replace RedHat9 with Mandrake10

What's up guys/gals, I have a question. I'm running a dual-boot system with WindowsXP and RedHat9. I want to replace The RedHat9 partitions with Mandrake10. I am using the GRUB boot-loader. Last time a tried this, It completely lost my WindowsXP boot information, so i had to completely reformat.

When using the recorder in a live situation with one song set up for 8 tracks-the playback spins in unwanted samples. The average set is 45 mins and I have tried defragging but this doesn't seem to fix it.

installing "wine" problems

Hey I got trouble installing WINE. . Im using Mandrake 10 with KDE 3. 2 and got the package wine and winelib from the CDs. . I used Install Software tool to get it. . sooo, I write wine notepad and get this long thing, which I paste in parts of under this text.

Hey I started out with Mandrake 10 not so long ago. I finally found a linux that detected my network and graphic cards after not even getting started with others. However its freezing and locking up on me alot, and im rebooting nonstop.
