Fedora Core 2 and Xp problems?
This is a discussion about Fedora Core 2 and Xp problems? in the Everything Linux category; I just downloaded FC2 and intend to install it ASAP however i read on the net that it has some problems with xp and win2000 partitions. I'm using a dual-boot setup with Xp. Anybody encountered this prob b4 and noe how to solve it?.

It has been reported as a problem. However, I did an upgrade install on my system (allowed FC II to upgrade over a FC I install) and did not allow my lilo to be overwritten. I added FC II's information to my current lilo file. No problem. There is somethng with kernel 2.6 and parted causing the issue.
So...I recommend avoiding using FC II's partitioning utility.
I would recommend using PartitionMagic on a fresh install to set up the partition, then do the install.

But how if i just go ahead with the FC2 install? How do i solve the problem?
