hi just playing around with a small linux network but i'm having trouble exporting nfs from the server. . ( a message about RPC not registered) in red hat 8 i could use the security dialog box to specify 'other ports' (111.

Hi Everyone! I`m tired of playing what games I play on the keyboard! I notice that I have a game port and would like to hook a joystick to it. Being that I`m running Lycoris update 3, there will be dependencie problems alright.

Mandrake 10 is continously freezing...HELP!

Hi, I've installed Mandrake 10 Community Edition. Everything was installed fine and it works perfectly. The only problem is that everything just freezes for a minute or so. Afterwards everything returns working perfectly.

cd playing problems in red hat 8.0

I'm using red hat 8. 0 now and my sound card is working perfectly fine but when i insert a music cd i to my drive and the audio player pops up and starts, no sound come out. could any1 help me here?.

when i am in konqueror and i want tp right click on any icons there is no menu that comes out. i mean that i can't right click but when i right click on the desktop icons ther is a menu that comes out.

I am using Debian (installed through Knoppix), and I tried to burn an ISO using k3b. It said that it could not locate the cdrecord and cdrdao executables. When I used apt-get to install these (cdrtools and cdrdao) it said that they were already installed with the top version.

i just bought a Winfast tunner 2000 deluxe from leadtec and at install pop out an error : Severe, Special Case! 60865:43240 this is the second tunner, the 1st i`ve returned it because it was f***d up as well! i tried instaling it with diferent drivers but the same problem ocures! what should i do ?

Caution with XP defrag

Defrag tools look for fragmented blocks or files but not necessarily where they are located on the drive. Before resizing,defrag your partitions even if a fragmentation check says it doesn't need to be defraged.
