Install problem wRH 8.0

My original problem after RH 8. 0 install was kernel panic-unable to continue. More details: Mother Br. Sapphire A3-M275, running an AMD Duron proc. 1. 3 GHz, Maxtor 30Gb HD, RAM 256Mb DDR. I installed 3 times from the CD drive.

To whomever: Has anyone experienced problem setting/changing mouse configuration with this product. During install I set the mouse configuration,(Misumi PS2 scroll) test it, ok it and when install is done the configuration has changed.

Hi All, I'm tring to configure SWAT and when it prompted me for the user name I entered another user other than the root. Now in SWAT I don't have all the configuration options. Everytime I log into SWAT it logs me in as the user automatically.

i will not ask help this time. i think at first i destroyed linux 7 but i ran it! here is what i did. it is wrong i think but i woked it! 1 - i install new version of glibc and it says it need another file glib-common.

Linux Newbie requests network printing help

This is my first post to this forum. I recently installed Mandrake 9 on a machine and am trying to set up an IP network printer for it. The Mandrake Control Center and PrinterDrake allowed me to setup the printer, but when I attempted to print a test page, I'm getting an error.

I just installed linux 7 redhat. Where can I find the internet explorer? I see an old netscape and a funny looking icon with the dinosaur and it looks like a netscape. Where do u guys hide internet explorer? Thankyou for your will be kind replies.

product reviews in wmv/mov ???

I've noticed that a number of the product reviews that you're listing are in wmv/mov format. I for one find that product reviews in wmv/mov are a real waste of bandwidth. It's like someone doesn't want to take the time to do it right.

Have have installed linux 8. 0. Startx gives me server 0 already running. . i do have a graphical login. . . so that might be the issue. . roamed around the bin directory and found some fimiliar options.

how to set full duplex sound for Gnomemeeting?

The system has: RedHat 8. 0 1. 7 GHz Athlon Duron SiS 7018 PCI Audio (inlaid in the motherboard) I already tried by simply enabling the full duplex in Control Center of KDE, however, I noticed that the CPU activity skyrocketed until eventually I received a pop-up window advising: CPU overloaded.
