How to COMPLETLY remove AOL from a system???????

Soundproblem

I have just installed Redhat 7. 3 (I have also windows2000 installed on the computer) and the sound won't work. When I run sndconfig the soundcard is found, but when I try to use it I just get error messages.

Hey all well i am looking into ISP's in Costa Rica and well came across some, but i am not sure what the words mean as i added up exchnegs rates and it came out that i can get a T1 for $55 US a month, which i know can't be right!!!! and if it is!! woohooo!!.

Here's a link to an article over at Do It Yourself Games, this guy really hates video games. Here's a quip I took from FiringSquad. DIYG: A lot of people would argue that the difference there is that video games have never directly killed somebody.

Connection timed out

Hi, I have written a socket program which connects to scs. yahoo. com(y! messenger service), but I get the Connection timed out error for connect() system call everytime. Is there any system call available to increase the time out period ? TIA! Regards, VT.

Need Advice on purchasing an ethernet router................

Hey all. our company is moving to a new office and we are looking into an Ethernet router - we have a cisco router but someone decided they don't want to use that (so i will take it for myself ) Anyways, they told me to look at the Netopia R9100 Ether Router Now to be honest, i don't know JACK about this stuff.

This was supposed to be a response to Doom 3 Patch but somehow it screwed up. . . . Yea i think the mods are what might make the game somewhat good. After I got over the general effect of the creepy atmosphere of the demo (which took like a whole 5 minutes), I was thoroughly bored.

Does anyone know a good and actually working internet accelerator for a 56k modem. Even though I get an average of 4kbp-6kbps it still kinda sucks. Anyone know a good one?.

You must try this on RH8 for good looking fonts!

First time I actually bothered to read the releasenotes on the first CD for once There you can read that you can take the fonts (*. ttf) from windows and put them in /usr/share/fonts and then run the command fc-cache /usr/share/fonts.

OK, I've checked a few webpages on the internet and have found out that linux has support for the Soundblaster Audigy sound card. . . . I am just wandering if that means it shall have support for Soundblaster Audigy Platinum eX ? Thanks.

The NTCompatible page is easier on the eyes and encourages me to actually read the frontpage whereas at LinuxCompatible I scroll down looking for specific things that I actually want to read. . . . Now if we had a profiling system where in the options we could choose what we want to see at each visit automagically ...

For those of you whom are interested, there's been an unofficial patch to the leaked 0. 02 alpha version, to bring it up to 1. 2. I have not tried this patch yet, but improved performance and several bugfixes are included.

Hey Guys, do you know about any DVD Audio Player for windows? i have tryed to play DVD audio discs with my DVD Player using DVD players but the sound is not good enough as it could be. . . I was searching around but find nothing ;(.
