Connection timed out

This is a discussion about Connection timed out in the Linux Networking category; Hi, I have written a socket program which connects to scs. yahoo. com(y! messenger service), but I get the Connection timed out error for connect() system call everytime. Is there any system call available to increase the time out period ? TIA! Regards, VT.

Hi,

I have written a socket program which connects to scs.yahoo.com(y! messenger service), but I get the "Connection timed out" error for connect() system call everytime.

Is there any system call available to increase the time out period ?
