Here is a guide that shows you how to install XNOISE media player on Ubuntu 11.10. You can install XNOISE using the shuerhaaken PPA for XNOISE. XNOISE is a media player for Gtk+ with a slick GUI, great speed and lots of features. Unlike Rhythmbox, Banshee or itunes, Xnoise uses a tracklist centric design.
