VirtualBox 7.2.4 released
The latest version of VirtualBox, 7.2.4, offers full virtualization capabilities on x86_64 hardware. Various platforms, including laptops, desktops, servers, and embedded systems, can utilize this versatile software. In addition to supporting x86_64 hardware, VirtualBox 7.1 also extends its compatibility to macOS/Arm, while version 7.2 has been expanded to support Windows/Arm.

The release of VirtualBox 7.2.4 is a maintenance update aimed at resolving various issues that had previously affected the software's performance and functionality. Among the key changes made in this update are improvements to the graphical user interface (GUI). Specifically, it now prevents the VirtualBox VM Manager from crashing when the host system resumes from sleep mode.
Furthermore, updates to native language support for several languages, including Traditional Chinese, Greek, Swedish, Hungarian, and Indonesian, have enhanced the GUI. This upgrade is expected to improve the overall experience of users who prefer these languages while interacting with the software.
In terms of network functionality, VirtualBox 7.2.4 addresses a critical issue that occurred when multiple port forwarding rules were applied, which could negatively impact the NAT (Network Address Translation) functionality.
The Linux version of VirtualBox has also been updated to include initial support for kernel 6.18, ensuring seamless integration with the latest Linux versions.
The Linux Guest Additions have received additional fixes to enhance their compatibility with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) kernels 9.6 and 9.7. Similarly, the Windows Guest Additions have been improved to resolve an issue that caused installation failures in Windows XP SP2 guest operating systems.
