Matthias Clasen has announced the release of GNOME 47, dubbed 'Denver', which adds adjustable accent colors, increased support for small displays, persistent remote sessions, and new-style dialogue windows. Files has also been upgraded and is now used in the file open and save dialogs.
GNOME 47 will be released in Fedora 41 and Ubuntu 24.10, with beta releases coming soon. The GNOME community, which included developers, designers, documentation writers, usability specialists, translators, maintainers, students, system administrators, companies, artists, testers, the local GUADEC team in Denver, and users, helped with the six-month endeavor.
