Eclipse, an open source platform for development tools, makes it easier to deliver applications and solutions on Linux, and the newly released Eclipse developement package, available at no charge, makes it even easier. It consists of the latest open source Eclipse SDK (v3.0) from Eclipse.org, plus the latest IBM Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for Linux. SAN FRANCISCO - IBM Corp. is seeking dismissal of a second major component of the lawsuit filed against it last year by Unix vendor The SCO Group Inc., according to court documents filed Friday by IBM.
