Hercules Fortissimo 3 7.1 sound problems

I have got a Hercules Fortissimo 3 7. 1 sound card and some Videologic ZXR-750 7. 1 Speakers. I constantly change linux distro, in hope of finding a distro where i can configure it so all 7 speakers work.

A4 Tech mouse not working in Mandrake 10.0

external hard disk won't mount in 2.6.11/2.6.12 kernel

I just upgraded to FC4 and discovered that my external hard disk will not mount in the 2. 6. 11 kernel. I upgraded to the 2. 6. 12 kernel and the same problem happens. My external HDD mounted perfectly in the 2.

Problem with Mandrake 10.1 - Noob

Hi, I'm having a video card problem with Mandrake 10. 1 It seems my Gigabyte Radeon 9500 driver is not available in Mandrake 10. 1. During the installation, the GUI came out perfectly. During the post installation process to configure the video driver, all tests fail but I decided to try Radeon fglrx.

installing ATI driver problems for AMD64

Can anyone tell me how to run the installer program from ATI. I've downloaded the actual driver RPM (although i had to do it from my Windows partition and drag it across because none of my browsers would link to the driver page), and i've downloaded the installer program.

I would like to install Java on this box. I am currently running FC4. In the release notes they recomend to use jpackage, rather than sun. I tried to install (Sun's Java) prior to installing FC4 on this machine (I tried with CentOS 4.

I recently purchased a new computer, it is a : Compaq Presario SR1426NX 2. 93GHz Pentium 4 512MB PC2-3200 DDR SDRAM 160GB 7200 Serial ATA hard drive Currently Running CentOS 4 This machine has the onboard sound, which worked in winXP, but never worked in CentOS.

I am trying to use a belkin wireless USB adaptor with Mandriva 2005 limited tried installing windows drivers with ndis wrapper (i think) not a squeak or a flash!! it worked in windys!! help i love this mandriva??i WANT it to work!!

New to Linux, Installtion Question

Im new to linux, and really don't know nothing about it yet. Im tryin to install the Mandrakes 10. 1 onto my dell Inspiron 2600, and the only problem I think I have is the video card. My laptop has on-board graphics, and every setting I test gives me that No Video BIOS modes for chosen depth.

Im really new to Linux (Love it so far) and I have installed in on my Mac mini. Everything works great, but I can not get audio to play or display anything other than 800x600 for my screen size. I know there is a patch/kernal for the audio, but I have no clue how to install it.

Dear all, I have a problem with mounting kingston 256 USB pen drive. it says that it is not a valid block device, when i mount it as mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb in hardware browser there is no any sda partitions thanks usp.
