Yeeehaaa! I just got my new 128 mb usb stick mounted and working! It's a Lexar JumpDrive I got on sale for 20 bucks at OfficeMax. I know this is probably not very interesting news for the rest of you, but I'm having a lot of fun with it, and just wanted to tell someone!.

Fedora, Kernel 2.6, Nvidia driver install issues.

I installed Fedora with no problems. Installed the rpm version of kernel 2. 6 with no problems. Now I seem to be having some issues getting the Nvidia drivers installed. According to everthing I've looked up you have to patch the nvidia driver source before running a make install.

How to get nforce2 audio and networking to work

nVidia has released drivers for the nforce2 motherboards, available at nvidia. com's driver download page. If you follow the instructions there you won't have a problem. However: The nvaudio driver can be a little buggy at times.

Plz Help i have installed fedora dist. . all working fine. . i have downloaded and compiled (and made changes in src) after restart i have created ISP connection and added a modem. . . modem is dialing, but it can't establish connection, aftel 60 sec.

I installed SUSE 9. 0 Pro on a Sony Vaio PCV-RZ32G. If I leave the computer alone for a couple minutes, the keyboard IO acts up like a key is stuck. For example, if I'm working in Ooo while typing something and leave to computer for a minute or two 'v's or other characters start to go across the document.

Can you recommend a good motherboard, preferrably integrated graphics, audio, LAN that Linux likes. It can be Intel as well, I am not stuck on AMD based, though I would prefer it. Particularly an nforce2 based IGP board because of the Nvidia drivers for Linux.

Problem With LG GSA 4040B DVD Burner

I'm having trouble with the LG GSA 4040B Dvd burner. The burner installs redhat 9 or Fedora 1, with no problem. It's when I get in the system the drive just doesn't show up in the fstab. Or if I try to mount it, it's just not there.

Hi, i'm a newbie with linux. I tried to install mandrake 9. 2 with burned cd but it says somthing like Second stage memory install failed or something like that. Looking on the internet I foud out that by installing by the hard drive could solve this promblem.
