newb: rh8 on a7n8x dlx, neither ethernet port recognised.

hello, i'll keep this short and sweet, how do i add the nvidia ethernet port to the device list in redhat 8. 0? i don't see nvidia listed, and i tried by chipset number 'realtek 8201bl' but i only see up to the 8100-series listed.

Another MDK 9.1 problem(usb mouse)

I have a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3. 0 USB In MDK 9, the mouse did not function at all using the USB connector, I had to use the USB-to-PS/2 adaptor which came with the mouse to be able to use it.

Mandrake 9.1 and IBM Thinkpad T23

Hey, I am hoping someone can help me, I have just tried to install Mandrake 9. 1 onto an IBM Thinkpad T23, the install went without hitch however on the final boot all I get is a black screen with an arrow mouse cursor.

Getting mad at Mandrake

I have tried everything under the sun trying to get mandrake installed as a dual boot with XP. I read that this is suppose to be easy to install but all I run into it seems is problems. I boot the computer with disk 1 and the disk restarts my puter.

Well, this newbie is throughly impressed to say the least. The latest releases of OpenOffice and Mozilla are a nice touch. The hardware recognition on my desktop and laptop were flawless. Installed Wine, Sun Java JRE 1.

Having read a load of good stuff about Mandrake 9. 1 Final (Bamboo) I downladed the 3 Cd's (Nearly 10 hours - even on fast connection due to overload of Mirrors) Booted up - PCMCIA started I thought Good.

Yo Peeps, I decided to ressurect my old HP Vectra P166 And am at this moment instaling Mandrake 9. 1 Beta RC2. So. . . . I will let you know how it goes. It is taking a while on this old system. . hehe Anyways.

Ok here is the deal, I just installed RedHat 8. 0 on my machine this past Saturday. I decided that I wanted to be able to play warcraft III on my Linux machine, so I set it up like was specified here at Linux compatible.

This is not a package manager discussion. What I want to know, those of you that evangelize *ANY* distrobution. . . I evangelize that you use something SANE. . . (I am going to be picking on RPM mainly cause it is usually RPMers doing the deed) This is a FIA: frequently iterated argument.

How do i add support for GeForce 4 MX440 in Debian Woody? When i try to compile NVIDIA drivers, the compiler says the drivers were not compiled with the compiler that came with Debian ;(
