Need an SMTP server to send email

I use an pop3 email provider which differs from my ISPs, and they (my isp) has disabled relaying, so I cant send my email through their smtp server. WHen I ran Windows I had to use a personal SMTP server.

Install Mandrake 9.0 into compaq nx9010

Good day, I have any problem. I can install Mandrake 9. 0 into my notebook (compaq nx9010), where W xp is running. If I insert the first install disk into drive and restart my machine, I`ll see the Mandrake install dialog box.

now what the hell is architecture? I now what platform my computer is, it’s a pc x86, I even know what my processor speed is and how much ram in Mb I have. But I have no clue what is architecture… googleing revealed no results.

Need help with my Redhat Linux 9 installation

Hi, I'm really new to linux and this is the first time I'm installing it. Basically heres what I did: 1. Dowloaded redhat linux 9. 0 from redhat website (shrike-386-disk1. iso to disk3. iso) 2. Convert 3 iso's to CD image (cd 1 bootable).

can access only 13 gb out of 40 gb hard drive from rh 9.0

i have a 40 gb hdd installed as pri. master on my system. i installed rh 9. 0 on it. everything works fine. but i can only access around 13 gb of my hdd. 5 gb / 5 gb /home 384 mb swap 3gb as fat32 which i have mounted on /mnt/fat32 how do i access the rest of my hdd.

Help with MandrakeMove

I am in the process of downloading MandrakeMove and it appears that there are 2 files to download. MandrakeMove - i586. iso and MandrakeMove-i586. md5. After I download these files, how do I burn these to a CD and make it bootable so I can try out MandrakeMove?? Thanks in advance for any help ! Dave.

Fedora 1 Modprobe messages

When Fedora 1 boots I get a lot of modprobe messages cannot find block-major-nnn for various nnn. These happen when it is checking for new hardware. This does not prevent the system booting but it would be nice to stop this.

How to Burn Mandrake on CD

Hi I am very new to linux. I just finsihed downloading mandrake 10. And when I extracted the files it all came out in folders. I though it was going to be 3 iso. files that I could just burn on to a cd.

Have you seen or read Agustin's Linux Manual -the Series if yes I bet you loved it. My teachers at school asked me for a copy of it and I gave it to them. They were very excited when they saw how easy it was to follow directions from these manuals.

I had a dual boot system with Windows ME and Fedora Core 1, both on disk 1 (60 Gbyte), controlled by GRUB in the MBR of disk 1. I wanted to add in Windows XP, to be able to run coLinux, which does not run on Windows ME.

Fedora Core2 wont start Xserver

I can't get FC2 to boot. It brings me to, localhoas: login and I have to put in root and PW then I type startx and it give me the error cannot start xserver, cant configure pointer device. I have tried to select my mouse from the config list, but it still hangs tryin to display the desktop.

Mandrake 10 Hangs Durring Boot

Mandrake 10 Hangs Durring Boot. Durring boot it keeps trying to disable IRQ #11 just before it runs some part of the software intill it fianally gets to localhost mylogin: login: Disabling IRQ #11 and then it is stuck in a rut trying to disable the IRQ.
