This is a discussion about Fedora Core2 wont start Xserver in the Everything Linux category; I can't get FC2 to boot. It brings me to, localhoas: login and I have to put in root and PW then I type startx and it give me the error cannot start xserver, cant configure pointer device. I have tried to select my mouse from the config list, but it still hangs tryin to display the desktop.

What type mouse are you using? If usb, try rounding up a ps2 to get you going. Then once the install is made, and you have X, you can then plug in the other mouse and configure it with system-config-mouse.
