For SIS drivers try. There are three ways to search. 'Product name' and 'catagory' don't seem to work correctly. Use 'search' but don't type the driver name or you will probably get zero results. Type audio FOR AUDIO, video FOR VIDEO ,ETC.

printer problem

I'm using red hat 8. 0. When i checked, my canon bjc 3000 printer was recognizd under generic printer in open office. When i tried to print documents, the printing is like a dot matrix printer with extremely slow printout.

It is an entry price printer/scanner/fax recommanded by Tom's hardware. I am using Mandrake cooker BTW but I don't mind compiling sources. stef.

Mandrake 10 is continously freezing...HELP!

Hi, I've installed Mandrake 10 Community Edition. Everything was installed fine and it works perfectly. The only problem is that everything just freezes for a minute or so. Afterwards everything returns working perfectly.

I am using Debian (installed through Knoppix), and I tried to burn an ISO using k3b. It said that it could not locate the cdrecord and cdrdao executables. When I used apt-get to install these (cdrtools and cdrdao) it said that they were already installed with the top version.

hi i hav a question about partitions. in windows u can hav 2 partitions c: and d: in linux how will u do that??? having two partitions i hav read some articles that when u make another partition u should set another mount point.

Caution with XP defrag

Defrag tools look for fragmented blocks or files but not necessarily where they are located on the drive. Before resizing,defrag your partitions even if a fragmentation check says it doesn't need to be defraged.

RTX Bluetooth dongle under Fedora????

I just bought RTX bluetooth dongle, but it doesn't come with driver for linux. They said it is an OEM product. What is the OEM product? I want to know where I can download a driver that allow me to connect this bluetooth with my linux laptop in order to get online through sony ericsson T616.

Win NT server and Xp after Redhat 9

Hi, I installed Redhat 9 and created 4 hda partions, I want to install WinNT server on the same computer,I am using a bootable CD but the comp loads only Redhat and not the setup screen for NT. What can I do get around this.

Mandrake or Fedora?

Hi, Ive currently got Mandrake installed on my computer, but I also have a copy of Fedora. The reason I didnt install Fedora is because the installation process failed when it tries to start X windows(why does this happen?).
