Using Windows XP as a internet gateway for linux

This is a discussion about Using Windows XP as a internet gateway for linux in the Linux Networking category; Hey im having some trouble getting windows xp to act as a internet gateway for linux ( Fedora Core 4 2. 6. 11 ). The DNS works fine but when i try to download a webpage or ping a host nothing happens.

Hey im having some trouble getting windows xp to act as a internet gateway for linux ( Fedora Core 4 2.6.11 ).
 
The DNS works fine but when i try to download a webpage or ping a host nothing happens. I have used the command
 
root@BLACK$ route add default gw 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
 
to set up the route tables
 
Can anyone help??
